In the process, he has also made himself one of the wealthiest men in the country, with a net worth estimated by Forbes at $10.5 billion in 2010…

“He had a very devil’s-advocate way of reviewing investments,” said Gary Siegler, who worked with Mr. Icahn from 1985 to 1990. “You had to be able to support your point of view.”

PennDesign Annual Campaign Update

With the campaign underway, PennDesign is pleased to welcome four financial experts to its Board of Overseers this year.

Gary N. Siegler W’83

Upon graduating magna cum laude from Wharton, Gary Siegler began his financial career at Dillon, Read & Co., a New York investment bank. In 1986, he joined internationally renowned investor Carl Ichanand worked with him on some of the largest corporate takeovers of the 1980s. In 1990, he started his own investment firm, Siegler, Collery & Co., which he built for a decade until his retirement from active participation in 2000. In 2006, he started a new investment firm, Indian Creek Asset Management, with offices in Miami, FL and New York City. He is a member of the Campaign Major Gifts Committee at Penn.

Pro-Am Ushers In New Era Of Tennis At Ross

Once lunch and a live auction were completed, the tennis action resumed. In the finals, Gary Siegler and Alex Teixeira, a pro from Brazil, met up with Louis Siegler, a Ross summer camper who is also Gary’s son, and Luke Jensen, a 1993 French Open men’s doubles champion with brother Murphy. The match went back and forth but eventually Teixeira and Siegler pulled it out by a 21-17 count. The day was punctuated by a kids clinic, during which prizes were given, attended by approximately 50 children.
